Worlds Best Nature Photography of 2019
As 2019 comes to a close, I have put together a collection of my favorite images to share with you all as we head into the new year. Although I am a full time nature photographer who doesn't have to punch a clock....or even show up at the office at all if I don't want to, I am also a father to two young children and constantly mentally busy. I have never spent as much time in the field as many photographers I know, taking just a few trips a year for the past 4-5 years. I do what I can with the time I have available and try to build more family memories than travel memories at this point. These truths make it easy to pick through my best of the year, as my available choices are limited. ;)
In spite of these time constraints, I have managed to not only increase my limited edition fine art nature photography business again, for the sixth year in a row, I was able to increase sales by over 25% in 2019. I am honored and humbled by the hundreds of people who choose my work for the most prominent areas of their homes and businesses each year.

A cold front can push the marine layer coast-ward, an occurrence most typical in the spring or late fall. Fine Art Limited Edition of 50 - Depth perception is the visual ability to perceive the world in three dimensions (3D) and the distance of an object. Depth sensation is the corresponding term for animals, since although it is known that animals can sense the distance of an object (because of their ability to move accurately, or to respond consistently, according to that distance), it is not known whether they "perceive" it in the same subjective way that humans do.

Fine Art Limited Edition of 50 - Leavenworth sits on the southeast side of the North Cascades collage, which is a group of terranes that accreted to North America all about the same time. Marine fossils indicate that the terranes were probably a group of islands originating in the South Pacific hundreds of million years ago. The terranes arrived at North America about 90 million years ago in the middle of the Cretaceous period. When they smashed into their new home, they were a puzzle of north-south slices. As accretion continued, they were cut into horizontal (east-west) slices.
