Information | Aaron Reed Luxury Fine Art Prints: Limited Edition Fine Art Photography Prints

In printmaking, an edition is a number of prints struck from one plate, usually at the same time. With fine art photography, each print produced is signed by the artist and numbered as say 24/50 to show the unique number of that print and the total edition size.

The entire body of my work is produced as limited edition fine art prints, each held to strict production limits. While a small number of images are offered in editions of up to 200, the vast majority of my work is held to 50 total pieces each. Unlike other famous photographers who offer editions of 950 or more, an edition of 50 is truly limited in number, assuring the artwork you have is unique and only available to a select few.

Provenance

Each piece from my collections is signed and numbered digitally prior to purchase. A signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity is also provided and often shipped separately from the print itself. This digital signature process ensures the longevity of the provenance in connection with these beautiful works of art.

About Artist Proofs - AP

In addition to my Limited Edition pieces that are held to 50, 100 or 200 total pieces respectfully, I also offer 1 Artist Proof (AP) of each piece. All Artist Proofs are printed as Lumachrome Face Mounted Acrylic Prints at 45", 60" or 72". Each of these Artist Proofs are signed and numbered with A/P #1 of 1. A hand written letter from the artist is also included describing special details and thoughts from the artist. Only 1 Artist Proof of each image will ever be printed, increasing their value and rarity. Each of these pieces is an investment and will increase in value at a higher rate than pieces from the body of the collection itself. Each Artist Proof requires an investment of $10,000 regardless of print size.

About First Printing - FP

When I designate one of my pieces as a Limited Edition piece, I choose the total number of prints to be offered in the collection. I withhold the First Printing (FP) of each piece in the collection to keep for myself, or to be offered as the very last print sold of that Limited Edition. The First Printings are also printed as Face Mounted Acrylic art with Museum Grade backing and are ready to hang. These pieces are signed FP 1/50, FP 1/100 or FP 1/200 depending on the piece. Hand selected pieces are chosen based on overall popularity and can now be purchased in advance of the selection selling out. As with Artist Proofs, First Printing’s also carry a higher value and will increase in value at a faster rate than pieces from the body of the collection itself. First Printing pieces require an investment of $2500 above the standard pricing for Lumachrome HD prints.

To be sure that your selected piece is available, please contact me directly to receive an invoice for purchase. Artist Proofs and First Printings can both be personalized, making these an incredible opportunity to purchase as a gift for a loved one or business partner.

Dragon's Breath

Fine Art Limited Edition of 200 - This piece is currently over 95% Sold Out, with less than 10 total pieces remaining in the edition. As a result, pricing for this piece has moved into the second tier. Acer palmatum, commonly known as palmate maple, Japanese maple or smooth Japanese-maple (Japanese: irohamomiji, イロハモミジ, or momiji, 紅葉), is a species of woody plant native to Japan, China, Korea, eastern Mongolia, and southeast Russia. Many different cultivars of this maple have been selected and they are grown worldwide for their large variety of attractive forms, leaf shapes, and spectacular colors.

Open Edition Art

An open edition allows the artist to sell an infinite number of pieces and is typically unsigned. None of the work offered on this website is an open edition.

Mixed Editions

Some artists choose to mix their editions, offering both open and limited prints of the same image, usually based on size or materials used during production. I strongly disagree with this practice. Each of my limited edition prints is inclusive of size and medium. Mixed editions will never be offered by me.
