Death Valley National Park: January 23rd - 27th, 2019
This workshop is now SOLD OUT.
Death Valley National Park is an incredible place to create beautiful imagery. Most people know of Death Valley as being the hottest, driest and lowest National Park. While the heat in Death Valley can be unbearable in the summer months, in the winter it is actually a very pleasant place to visit! With an amazing range of abstract, landscape and night photography available, the diversity of the valley will inspire and fill you with wonder! This workshop will be held Jan 23rd - 27th, 2019. Due to the extremely limited lodging inside the park, I have reserved a block of rooms for the 5 attendees. Once you complete your reservation on this website, I will provide you with a code and a phone number to call to book your room. The rooms are currently being held from Jan 22nd - 27th (5 nights) and will be at a rate of $225 per night. If you rather camp, or stay outside the park, you are welcome to make your own reservation, but please let me know if/when you decide to go this route.
We will begin the workshop before sunrise at approx 6:00am each day and wrap up each night around 6pm, just after sunset. For those who want to try their hand at night photography we will pick a date during the workshop to do that as well. There are limited places to eat inside the park however there is good food at Furnace Creek where we will be staying. Attendees will be provided with a list of suggested gear, camera equipment, clothing and a list of places we will be visiting during the workshop. To have the best chance to photograph all areas in the best light we will visit some areas more than once during our time there.
Transportation, flights, hotel stays and food are NOT provided during this workshop. We will make every effort to carpool during our time there, reducing our caravan to 2 cars. If you have any questions about the workshop or the Death Valley area itself, please do not hesitate to reach out to me here.
