The Art of Amazing - Aaron Reed Photography

Thank you for your interest in my work. Here you will find answers to some frequently asked questions about my work.

+ How many total pieces are offered in each Limited Edition?

My limited edition pieces have strict production limits between 25 - 200 total pieces, depending on the piece and regardless of medium or size. Once the final print has sold from one of my limited edition pieces it will never be offered again as a fine art print.

+ What is the difference between a Limited Edition, a First Printing and an Artist Proof?

In addition to my Limited Edition pieces that are held to 50, 100 or 200 total pieces respectfully, I also offer 1 Artist Proof (AP) of each piece. All Artist Proofs are printed at 30″ x 45″ or 40" x 60" as Lumachrome Face Mounted Acrylic prints. These prints can be produced with recessed mounting or external framing at an additional cost. Each of these Artist Proofs are signed and numbered with A/P #1 of 1. Only 1 Artist Proof of each image will ever be printed, increasing their value and rarity. Each of these pieces is an investment and will increase in value at a higher rate than pieces from the body of the collection itself. Each Artist Proof requires an investment of $7500. When I designate one of my pieces as a Limited Edition piece, I choose the total number of prints to be offered in the collection. I withhold the First Printing (FP) of each piece in the collection to keep for myself, or to be offered as the very last print sold of that Limited Edition. The First Printings are also printed on High Gloss Hi Def ChromaLuxe Metal sheeting or Face Mounted Acrylic at 30″ x 45″ with Museum Grade backing and are ready to hang. These pieces are signed 1/50, 1/100 or 1/200 depending on the piece. Hand selected pieces are chosen based on overall popularity and can now be purchased in advance of the selection selling out. As with Artist Proofs, First Printing’s also carry a higher value and will increase in value at a faster rate than pieces from the body of the collection itself. First Printing pieces require an investment of $3000 for ChromaLuxe or $4000 for LumaChrome prints.

+ Which Print Mediums do you offer?

The finest pieces that I offer are produced with Lumachrome Face Mounted Acrylic technologies. My work is also offered as ChromaLuxe HD Aluminum prints and Fuji Crystal & Kodak Metallic Photographic Paper prints. Photographic paper prints are loose prints that need to be framed by the client before displaying.

+ Do you offer framing and other finishing options?

The Lumachrome Acrylic pieces that I offer can be framed prior to delivery using a 4" Roma Italian Wood Frame and 3" Linen Liner. This process adds an additional 14" to both the vertical and horizontal overall dimensions of the print and can increase production time as well.

+ Is shipping included in the price of my investment and what are the production times?

Shipping anywhere in the US is included in pricing structure shown in each of my online galleries for pieces below 60". Larger pieces do require additional shipping charges in some cases. Shipping is available anywhere in the world at an aditional cost. Please contact me directly to receive a quote for an international shipment.

In order to keep my work affordable for a wide range of collectors I do not maintain a physical gallery at this time. Ninety five percent of the work I sell is purchased sight unseen through my online galleries. I take great pride in matching my finsihed work to the imagery representing it online and in all my years offering my work I have never experienced an unhappy client.

+ Do you offer consulting services to fellow artists?

I operate an extremely succesful fine art photography business and frequently receive questions from fellow artists about Limited Edition print sales, retail sales and licensing and photography workshop insruction. My time and knowledge is valuable and as such I offer consulting services to fellow artists. Please send inquiries to me directly to discuss this option, how I can help with your business goals and my consultation fees.

The landscape & nature photography collections you will find on this website are comprised of my very best imagery. Before releasing a new piece,  a series of test prints of varied sizes are produced and inspected to ensure accurate color representation and image details meet the highest standards of overall quality. My work is produced using various mediums and methods including fine art silver halide photographic paper, recess mounted ChromaLuxe Aluminum Dye Sublimation and Lumachrome HD Acrylic Face Mounted technologies. Special orders can be produced using a wide variety of finishing options.

Limited Edition Collection

Every image that I create, once selected for release, is designated as an open edition or becomes a part of my limited edition collection. My limited edition pieces have strict production limits between 25 - 200 total pieces, depending on the piece and regardless of medium or size. Once the final print has sold from one of my limited edition pieces it will never be offered again as a fine art print.  My open edition pieces have no production limit. All of my pieces, both open and limited editions alike are signed and numbered digitally by me prior to printing. Each piece that I sell is issued a certificate of authenticity that is also signed and numbered, matching the piece itself.

About Artist Proof’s – AP

In addition to my Limited Edition pieces that are held to 50, 100 or 200 total pieces respectfully, I also offer 1 Artist Proof (AP) of each piece. All Artist Proofs are printed at 30″ x 45″ or 40" x 60" as Lumachrome Face Mounted Acrylic Prints. Each of these Artist Proofs are signed and numbered with A/P #1 of 1. A hand written letter from the artist is also included describing special details and thoughts from the artist. Only 1 Artist Proof of each image will ever be printed, increasing their value and rarity. Each of these pieces is an investment and will increase in value at a higher rate than pieces from the body of the collection itself. Each Artist Proof requires an investment of $7500.

First Printing – FP

To be sure that your selected piece is available, please contact me directly to receive an invoice for purchase. Artist Proofs and First Printings can both be personalized, making these an incredible opportunity to purchase as a gift for a loved one or business partner.
