Iceland | Dramatic Photographic Wall Art For Sale
Iceland is called the Land of Ice and Fire, and Aaron Reed’s Iceland landscape photography captures beautifully this rugged land of glaciers and volcanoes in all of their pristine beauty. Iceland has been the shooting location of many films because of its otherworldly qualities--Iceland truly seems like another world. Thus it is the place for such stunning images as the mysterious Studagil Canyon where column-like cliff walls rise above an emerald river, and Landmannalaugar, where volcanic action has stirred up the minerals in the earth to create a masterpiece of wondrous colors. But, because it is so otherworldly, Iceland abstract art is just as stunning: astounding overhead shots of the action of the Icelandic waves being driven by the wind, or lava breaking through the ground and spilling out in a puzzle of black and orange. Aaron Reed finds his abstract Iceland in simply turning his lens toward the unusual cracks in the earth, finding breathtaking colors in the grains of sand and igneous rock.
Aaron Reed’s Iceland art prints are each a masterwork in composition and balance. Just as Iceland itself lives in a state of contradictions--fire and ice--Aaron Reed finds the place of harmony as he captures Icelandic volcanic peaks surrounded by fields of verdant grass in his Milk and Honey. He finds the lavender flowers growing beneath one of the lonely churches that dot the landscape of this island’s sparse population in The Church.
From rushing waters in constant movement, to icy walls that have been frozen for centuries, there is a raging beauty in every piece of Iceland landscape photography.
