Peter Lik Alternative | The Aaron Reed Luxury Fine Art Experience

Collectors of fine art nature photography often contact me looking for an alternative to Peter Lik after visiting one of the Lik Fine Art galleries. This is often their first experience seeing large acrylic nature and landscape photography prints in person. As a result of their efforts to compare the prints and investment options as well as individual artistry and personal experience, they find themselves here in the online galleries of Aaron Reed Luxury Fine Art.

Experience The Galleries

Experience The Prints

The limited edition collections that I offer to collectors are produced with Lumachrome™ technology produced at an industry leading 1200dpi, using a hybrid transparency and metallic paper which far exceeds that of traditional FujiFlex Crystal Archive continuous tone silver halide paper in detail and color gamut. Each photographic print is incapsulated between a crystal clear acrylic base layer and museum grade Trulife® acrylic glass. TruLife® is a crystal clear, scratch resistant and non-reflective acrylic glass that allows exacting detail and vibrancy to shine through without distraction.

These museum quality Fine Art Prints are unmatched in handcrafted artistry and visual excellence. This masterly crafted work of art is thoroughly isolated from all elemental damage and then finished with a recessed float mount on the reverse, creating a ready to hang piece of unrivaled quality and exquisite beauty. Each piece is crafted by hand in the USA and inspected and polished leaving a lasting brilliance and shine with no detail overlooked.

This process offers a clean, gallery-quality presentation and modern look that will dramatically enhance any private home or business facility. Fine Art prints produced this way show incredible visual depth and an almost 3d quality full of high definition details, beautiful tonal transitions and incredibly vibrant colors. Light that falls across and reflects off of the face of artwork is visually "trapped" within the acrylic glass and when properly lit, appears to be illuminated or back-lit.

Lumachrome TruLife Acrylic prints have a silver, almost pearl-like luminescence that adds to the overall luxury feel of these incredible pieces. As various qualities of changing light fall across the walls of your home, the luminescence of the art changes as well, bringing the work to life before your very eyes. TruLife® Acrylic Prints are backed by a lifetime guarantee.

Each of my limited edition prints are also available produced as Chromaluxe Aluminum or Innovaluxe Canvas Rag, providing a wide range of options for various rooms and individual applications.

What Kind of Paper Does Peter Lik Print On?

Peter Lik has historically used Silver Halide papers, more commonly known as FujiFlex, or Fuji Crystal Archive, for all of his limited edition collections. As of 2025, as explained on his website, Lik now uses Hahnemühle’s Fine Art paper and Epson SureColor printing technology to produce all of his work.

Limited Edition Photography Prints

For those who truly want to collect a unique piece of art, Aaron Reed's Artist Proof's offer just that, giving you the confidence that your artwork is exclusive to you and you alone. The Cost of Acrylic Fine Art Prints

The Lumachrome Acrylic Prints that I offer, as well as the majority of acrylic photography prints produced today, are not an inexpensive printing method. These prints are truly the highest quality photography prints available in the world today. While the investment costs of art are only one consideration, it is worth noting.

Today you can find pricing for much of Lik's newest work online on his website where 100cm prints are offered at a starting price of $3500 and then increasing to $4100 - $5700 once the edition officially opens. According to interview and subsequent article written by the New York Times, When 95% of an image has sold it becomes “Premium Peter Lik” and the price jumps to $17,500. At 98 percent, it’s “Second Level Premium Peter Lik” and leaps to $35,000. And when the image gets down to its last handful, the prices can go as high as $200,000 or more.

His most expensive piece, titled Phantom, reportedly sold to an anonymous collector for $6.5 million as part of a package deal that also included "Illusion" ($2.4 million) and "Eternal Moods" ($1.1 million).

Aaron Reed's limited edition pieces produced at a comparable size of 114cm (45") are priced at $3000, with one 182cm (72") Artist Proof available for each piece at $7500.

The Aaron Reed Luxury Fine Art Experience

As a family-owned and operated business you will always work with me (the artist) directly, never office staff, wholesale distributors or gallery directors. I believe in offering the highest quality photographic art available in the world today, while continuously going above and beyond for collectors of my work, providing an unrivaled level of personal attention and customer service with every work of art I signed my name to.

Choosing and displaying a piece of fine art is a deeply personal experience—but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Space, color, and lighting all play a role in how a piece will transform your home or office, and I’m here to help you navigate those choices with confidence.

When you have questions, you won’t be met with an automated response or a middleman—you’ll speak directly with me, whether by email or phone, even on evenings and weekends. I truly enjoy getting to know collectors, understanding their vision, and helping them find the perfect piece to complete their space.

To make the process even easier, I offer custom digital mock-ups of your space with the artwork you’re considering. Just email me a photo of your wall, along with the title(s) and size(s) you have in mind, and I’ll create a personalized visual preview—so you can see exactly how the artwork will look before making your decision.

Whether you are simply looking for a single showpiece to transform a room or have a grand vision to fill your home or office with the world's finest photographic art, my level of dedication to you never wavers.

A plume of dust, stirred by the swirling winds of a sculpted slot canyon are caught in a lone beam of sun penetrating the maze. Flashed to blinding white, the dancing motes become an eerie inferno, yawning out of a portal to another world. Fine Art Limited Edition of 100

Exquisite Fine Art Nature Photography Prints

Acrylic Face Mounted prints are my suggested print medium of choice for a number of reasons, the first and most important of these being the image quality and overall visual presentation of the work. As described above, dynamic images produced as gallery quality acrylic face mounted prints, when produced by a master printer using the finest materials available today are without equal.

I direct hundreds of these pieces to be produced on my behalf for collectors of my work each year with staggering results. The detail, contrast, color and luminosity of these prints is spectacular and the way the images appear to grow brighter & richer depending on the quality of light falling on them is nothing short of exquisite. While the cost of these pieces keep some potential customers from owning this type of art, those who are fortunate enough to treat themselves are never disappointed in having made this decision.
